On Wednesday, March 16, RFF Senior Fellow Dallas Burtraw presented a webinar on “Interstate Cooperation and US Climate Policy,” sponsored by The Power Dialog at Bard College’s Center for Environmental Policy. A link to the full video is below.
The Power Dialog is a nonpartisan, nonadvocacy effort to support students at universities nationwide as they engage in face-to-face dialog with top state officials on whether and how state-level action can help meet the US climate commitments. The organizers have created a number of opportunities for students to learn more about the Clean Power Plan and other state-level policies—and the Power Dialog itself culminated in a series of visits to state capitals during the week of April 4.
The issue of interstate cooperation is particularly salient for experts at RFF, who have looked at opportunities for regional trading programs, reduced cross-state emissions leakage, and more. Dallas provide insights in the video below.
